Naa-Shorme Aidoo is a highly accomplished Organizational Development and Strategic Planning Consultant, specializing in transformative solutions for mission-driven organizations. With over a decade of expertise spanning organizational development, change management, capacity building, and program operations, she has partnered with youth-serving institutions across the U.S. and internationally to drive measurable growth and sustainable success.
Naa-Shorme’s consulting portfolio includes guiding social sector organizations through strategic planning, partnership development, and capacity-building processes that enhance their operational effectiveness. Her strategic insight enables clients to streamline their structures, refine their cultures, and achieve measurable improvements in program outcomes—empowering them to better serve their communities with clarity and precision.
Prior to consulting, Naa-Shorme served as Policy & Government Affairs Director at ExpandED Schools, where her strategic acumen secured $27 million annually in competitive public funding for out-of-school time programs across New York State. Her leadership also drove collaboration among education and youth service coalitions to increase access to high-quality Social Emotional Learning (SEL), STEM, literacy, and work-based learning for NYC students. Beginning as Program Manager, she coached educators, school and nonprofit leaders, ultimately impacting over 1,000 educators and 30,000+ youth across 300+ schools, with her efforts in DEI and strategic planning resulting in an 88% increase in retention.
As a Fulbright Scholar in Durban, South Africa, Naa-Shorme developed a comprehensive business and learning strategy for a local NGO, directly improving student engagement, academic skills, and college readiness for over 700 high school students. Her work spanned business strategy, organizational design, and talent acquisition, providing high-level consulting that strengthened staff capabilities and programmatic impact.
Her expertise and impact in education policy include influential roles on Capitol Hill in the Office of Representative Hakeem Jeffries and as Policy Advisor to the Deputy Mayor for Education, where she developed a city-wide trauma-informed protocol. Her impact in this role in particular extended to advising on restorative practices for school culture reform, bridging efforts between the Office of the Deputy Mayor and the Metropolitan Police Department.
